On January 23, 2011, world economic and political leaders such as Bill Gates, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and former President Bill Clinton, gathered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with renown intellectuals from diverse backgrounds to discuss, among other things, how lessons learned in the field of Ufology and the search for extraterrestrial life might shed some light on the hindrances to innovation in other areas of inquiry. Nuclear physicist and UFO lecturer Stanton T. Friedman was chosen, along with 4 others, to speak at the 5th Annual Global Competitiveness Forum about how “psychological and socio-cultural assumptions and preconceptions constrain us to a large extent, and shape our views of the universe so that we are inclined to find what we are looking for, and fail to see what we are not.” Hear first hand from Stanton Friedman on the details of the forum as this information was presented to the world’s captains of industry.
